Dihkroos Model - Architensions

Dikhroos: A Public Space Activator

Architensions presents Dikhroos, designed in collaboration with Transsolar NY, a portable tent originally designed for a competition organized by Architectural League of New York and Socrates Sculpture Park . The project engages the users through different conditions of light filtered via dichroic film by 3M . Dikhroos derived from the Greek and means dual-color. The main structure is composed with bamboo poles joined together with custom 3D printed joints. Our proposal, which responded rigorously to the brief which asked for an easy assembly and a strong presence in the park, has now a new life and will see its first prototype soon! Stay tuned! Bandirma Park Masterplan Released

Our Bandirma Park masterplan was conceived sculpting the landscape creating a continuous man-made surface that enters every building and creates a new typology: the split building. The result is a succession of protected plazas woven together activating the park throughout the entire year. Our team was composed by Format Engineers led by Stephen Melville and Transsolar KlimaEngineering  led by Krista Palen.
