2025 06 20 David Gissen, Ignacio Galan, and Architensions to contribute to the sixth edition of the Chicago Biennale curated by Florencia Rodriguez

“Fragments of Disability Fictions” is our contribution to the sixth edition of the Chicago Biennale, SHIFT: Architecture in Times of Radical Change, curated by Florencia Rodrigues and opening September 19, 2025. We are working to excavate possible pasts and imagine critical futures to build alternative genealogies for New York City that center disability.

By combining the research of David Gissen, Ignacio Galan, Alessandro Orsini, and Nick Roseboro, the project builds on the imaginative contributions of a group of disabled activists, scholars, and policy makers, including Neta Alexander, Eman Rimawi, David Serlin, and Victor Calise.
